Increasing engineering literacy in a complex world

Center for Engineering Education

Our Core Mission: Providing PK-12 STEAM Education for Teachers and Kids

The Center for Engineering Education prepares future and current PK-12 educators to teach STEAM education with an emphasis on engineering and to increase students' engineering literacy in an ever-changing and complex world.

Through the Center for Engineering Education, PK-12 educators learn about innovations in engineering education and how to bring those advances into their classrooms. The Center supports teachers' STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) integration with engineering education through the STEAM Graduate Certificate in Engineering Education program.

Credits earned in the graduate certificate program can be applied toward the School of Education's Master of Arts in Educational Studies with an engineering education concentration.
