In addition to the scholarships and financial aid offered through the university, alternative sources, and other federal and state programs, the School of Engineering offers several scholarship opportunities for undergraduate students studying or planning on studying engineering.

Engineering Board of Governors Scholarship
Application Deadline: March 2, 2023
A $10,000 Engineering Board of Governors Scholarship is competitively awarded to an entering first-time, first-year student planning to major in engineering. Applicants must complete a special scholarship application and an application for admission by the deadline. This award is renewable for three more years for a total of $40,000.
Science, Mathematics and Engineering Scholarship
Application Deadline: December 15, 2022
Two full-tuition and two $8,000 Science, Mathematics and Engineering scholarships are competitively awarded to entering first-year students planning to major in science, mathematics or engineering. Applicants must complete a special scholarship application and an application for admission by the deadline.

Application Deadline: February 4th, 2023
Up to fifty undergraduate scholarships valued between $500 and $3,000 are made available for returning engineering students each academic year.
Applicants must be currently enrolled in engineering at the University of St. Thomas and complete the online application and written statement by the deadline.
Some of the scholarships have criteria based on financial need. Financial need is determined via students’ annual FAFSA forms, so applicants who wish to be considered for need-based scholarships should be sure to complete the FAFSA each year.
