Take me to TommieBotProject Summary
Renewal by Andersen uses multiple machines with drilling operations. When a drill bit breaks, it often goes unnoticed resulting in a buildup of parts with missing holes. This buildup creates a production bottleneck when reworking the product in addition to creating material and labor waste.
Design Goal
The goal of this project is to create a proof-of-concept automated drill bit detection system that signals when a drill bit breaks with detailed plans on how to implement the system onto their machinery.
