Mr. Andrew Fried brings a wealth of experience from aerospace, commercial, and medical device industries. With a background in electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering, Andrew is passionate about teaching others to solve complex ambiguous problems. He has worked on a range of problems including micro electromechanical sensor designs, satellite systems, carbon nanotube sensors, silver nanowire capacitive touch screens, and rechargeable implants for neuromodulation.
He is currently serving as a lead systems engineer in Medtronic’s neuromodulation business where he leads teams of systems, electrical, firmware, mechanical engineers in the development of next generation systems for treatment of neurological disorders.
Andrew has taught systems engineering courses at the University of St. Thomas since 2018 and has sponsored a variety of senior design projects.
