Dr. Orser has a background in electrical engineering product development and design with an emphasis on analog integrated circuits. She has collaborated on scientific studies with a variety of universities including collaborations with the University of Pennsylvania, Case Western University, and the University of Minnesota. Prior to joining St. Thomas as faculty, Dr. Orser worked at IBM, Medtronic, and most recently at Inspire Medical systems developing next generation sleep apnea treatments. She is a member of IEEE's solid state circuits, circuits and systems, and biomedical engineering societies.
