APEX Engineering Scholarships

Alternative Pathways to Excellence (APEX) Engineering Scholarship Program

The APEX Engineering Scholarship Program at the University of St. Thomas School of Engineering is for academically talented undergraduate students already on the path to an engineering degree. The program, funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), is designed to support the needs of low-income engineering students, particularly those who have not followed a traditional educational path. Transfer students from two- and four-year colleges are encouraged to apply.

Each scholarship provides an annual award of up to $10,000, is renewable for up to two more years to support the final years of study, and can be combined with other St. Thomas scholarships and federal aid. In addition, APEX scholars will receive a one-time $500 stipend for participating in a 2-day program kick-off at the end of August.

As an APEX scholar, you will receive one-on-one faculty mentoring, peer support and tutoring, career counseling, and specialized networking opportunities.
